Goldy Disc Course Designers
Disc golf course design, growing the sport one course and town at a time.
Not too big, not too small,
we design your "Goldy" course, with as few changes to the woods as possible!
Not too big, not too small,
we design your "Goldy" course, with as few changes to the woods as possible!
We take a look at the property maps and take a walking tour of all potential sites in your town, then we provide a report with our zone recommendations.
Disc golf courses are most often 9 or 18 holes, and can be on a grassy open surface or in an appropriately wooded area,
level or hilly terrain.
There are many options in baskets and an even wider variety of tee types. We present proposals offering a range of varied levels and costs,
to stay within your budget.
After playing casually for a few years, we dedicated more time to disc golf and fell in love with it. For a long stretch we averaged playing five times a week, including the winter. Now busy designing courses, we still get out as often as possible, at least twice a week. In our travels we have played about 100 courses up and down the east coast, and decided to apply our skills to help grow the sport, by helping to design courses for interested municipalities. .
Living halfway between White Plains, New York, and Hartford, Connecticut, we are focusing on the areas close to home (for now), and are making it our mission to help every enthusiastic town in Westchester County and Connecticut develop courses.
Entrenched in the sport, we are both members of the PDGA (Professional Disc Golf Association), active in local course groups, and we participate in tournaments where Co-Ed doubles is offered.
Sven's master's degree in cartography (including topography and surveying) and graphic design and Sherry's degree in business management and marketing, combined with our high energy levels and love of the outdoors make us a great team. We can hike several potential properties in a day, see what design works best, and lay out the perfect course suggestions for your city/town/village/non-profit.
With an increase in players, and so few courses in many counties, the possibilities are endless! We are seeking out those individuals, who share our enthusiasm and are looking to invest in the recreational infrastructure of their municipalities by adding a disc course!
